After you create the CUR, you can share its data with the Zesty platform, as described in [Integrate and onboard an AWS account with Zesty](/v1/docs/integrate-aws-account-with-zesty-1). If your organization already has a CUR that meets the Zesty configuration criteria, you can integrate that immediately rather than creating a new CUR. If your CUR doesn’t contain enough historical data, you can backfill historical data before sharing its data, as described in [Backfill data into a CUR](/v1/docs/backfill-data-into-a-cur). #### Prerequisites - Access to the Management account (formerly known as Master Payer account) in your AWS Management Console - AWS permissions to create a CUR and S3 buckets Select the tab for **Legacy CUR** or **CUR v2.0**: Legacy CURCUR v2.0 #### Procedure 1. Log in to your AWS Management Console. 2. From the AWS console, go to **Billing and Cost Management**. You can find that using the search bar. 3. In the left menu, under **Cost and Usage Analysis**, select **Data Exports**. 4. Click **Create**. The Create export page is displayed. On this page you customize the CUR with the criteria required by Zesty. 5. Customize the CUR: After these steps, there is a screenshot that matches the described steps. 1. For **Export type**, select **Legacy CUR export**. 2. For **Export name**, type a name. We recommend a name like zesty- that is unique and easily identifiable. 3. In the **Export content** section, for **Additional export content**, select **Include resource IDs**. Leave **Data refresh settings** blank. 4. In the **Data export delivery options** section, select the following: 1. For **Report data time granularity**, select **Hourly**. 2. For **Report versioning**, select **Overwrite existing**. 3. For **Report data integration**, do the following: - For **Kompass**, select the **Amazon Athena** integration. - For other Zesty products, don’t select any integrations. 4. For **Compression type**, select **Parquet**. 5. In the **Data export storage setting** section, click **Configure**. The Configure S3 bucket dialog is displayed. 6. In the Configure S3 bucket dialog make the following customizations: 1. Select **Create a bucket**. 2. Type a valid S3 bucket name. We recommend using the same name as the Export name. If you plan to integrate your CUR in the Zesty platform, copy the bucket name so you have it handy. 3. Select the region in which the bucket will reside. 4. Click **Create bucket**. On the Create export page, your S3 bucket name is now displayed. 7. Add an S3 path prefix. The path prefix enables organization and structure within the S3 bucket. 8. (Optional) You can add tags. 9. Click **Create report**. For **Export details**, select **Standard data export**. 2. For **Export name**, type a name. We recommend a name like zesty- that is unique and easily identifiable. 3. For **data table content settings**, select **CUR 2.0**. 4. For **Additional export content**, select **Include resource IDs**. 5. For **Time granularity**, select **Hourly**. 6. For **Compression type and file format**, select **Parquet**. 7. For **File versioning**, select **Overwrite existing data export file**. 8. In the **Data export storage setting** section, configure an S3 bucket: 1. Click **Configure**. In the Configure S3 bucket dialog make the following customizations: 1. Select **Create a bucket**. 2. Type a valid S3 bucket name. We recommend using the same name as the Export name. If you plan to integrate your CUR in the Zesty platform, copy the bucket name so you have it handy. 3. Select the region in which the bucket will reside. 4. Click **Create bucket**. On the Create export page, your S3 bucket name is now displayed. 9. Add an S3 path prefix. The path prefix enables organization and structure within the S3 bucket. 10. (Optional) You can add tags. 11. Click **Create**. The following screenshot shows a completed **Create export** page: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/0eb80240-664b-49f5-9181-5713ddf9f725/Images/Documentation/aws_create_2.0_cur.png) It can take up to 24 hours before AWS starts to deliver the CUR to the S3 bucket. During those 24 hours, for a CUR with Amazon Athena integration selected, AWS automatically uploads the **crawler-cfn.yml** file to your CUR S3 bucket. This file contains the resources that are necessary to set up Glue Crawlers and databases for Athena. Example location: s3:///cloudformation/crawler-cfn.yml > After creating the CUR, contact your Zesty representative. After the CUR is available, you can integrate (“onboard”) it with Zesty or you can backfill it with historical data as described in [Backfill data into a CUR](/v1/docs/backfill-data-into-a-cur). For Kompass, backfill a minimum of 3 months. If there are issues in creating the CURs or other resources (such as the crawler file), contact your Zesty representative.
