Integrate Zesty notification channels

This topic describes how to configure Zesty to send notifications to MS Teams and Slack channels. To configure these channels, you integrate the apps with Zesty.

These integrations apply to notifications throughout the Zesty platform.

Integrate MS Teams

MS Teams Notifications are sent using webhooks.

To integrate MS Teams, you will need to do this:

1. Create an incoming webhook in an MS Teams public channel.

2. Paste that webhook URL in the Zesty platform.

Prerequisites

• Login access to the Zesty platform

• MS Teams configured for your organization

• Permissions in MS Teams to create incoming webhooks for a public channel

To configure MS Teams notifications:

1. In MS Teams, create an incoming webhook, as described in Create Incoming Webhooks (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/webhooks-and-connectors/how-to/add-incoming-webhook).

2. Make the following choices:

   1. Ensure that you select a public channel to add the webhook to.

   2. For the name of the incoming webhook, enter Cloudvisor.

3. After the webhook is created, copy the webhook URL.

4. From the Zesty platform, click your username in the top right-hand corner and select Notification Management.

   The Notification Management page is shown.

5. In the MS Teams section, click Add integration.

6. Paste the webhook URL created earlier, then click Save webhook.

MS Teams has been integrated and notifications can now be sent to the MS Teams channel where the webhook was created.

Integrate Slack

To configure notifications, you will need to give permissions to Zesty to access your Slack workspace.

Prerequisites

• Login access to the Zesty platform

• Slack is configured for your organization

• Permissions in Slack to enable posting to a public channel

To configure Slack:

1. From the Zesty platform, click your username in the top right-hand corner and select Notification Management.

   The Notification Management page is shown.

2. In the Slack section, click Add integration.

3. Review the permissions requested.

4. Select a channel where Zesty will send notifications, then click Allow.

Slack has been integrated and notifications can now be sent to the selected channel.
