# Run EMR with Zesty Disk

This section describes how to configure and run EMR with Zesty Disk.

You will need to do the following:

1. [Create a compatible AMI](/v1/docs/create-an-ami-for-zesty-disk-1)
2. [Set up an EMR cluster](/v1/docs/set-up-an-emr-cluster-1)
3. [Launch the EMR cluster with Zesty Disk](/v1/docs/launch-emr-cluster-using-bootstrap-1)

Before beginning, ensure that your instances meet the requirements in [System requirements](/v1/docs/system-requirements) including the EMR version.
