Spot management workload optimization

Prev Next

This topic describes optimizing a workload with Spot management.

A workload is optimized after the following steps:

  1. You apply Spot management to a workload.

  2. Kompass prepares and hibernates nodes to protect the workload.

Spot management is active on the workload within an hour of applying the solution.

You can apply Spot management to a workload using the user interface or using YAML.

After Spot management is active on a workload, you can see the impact on the workload in terms of Spot allocation and cost savings. For more info, see Apply and manage Spot management.

For information about supported environments and limitations, see Compute solutions supported environments and limitations.
