Spot management workload optimization

Prev Next

This topic describes optimizing a workload with Spot management.

A workload is optimized after the following steps:

  1. You apply Spot management to a workload.

  2. Kompass prepares and hibernates nodes to protect the workload.

Spot management is active on the workload within an hour of applying the solution.

To apply Spot management to a workload, see Apply Spot management to a workload.

After Spot management is active on a workload, you can see the impact on the workload in terms of Spot allocation and cost savings. You can also remove the solution. For more info, see Manage Spot management on a workload.

For information about supported environments and limitations, see Compute optimization.
