When selling Reserved Instances (RIs) on the Marketplace, the seller typically sets a price for the RI based on the remaining duration and payment option (no-upfront, partial- upfront or full-upfront).
When selling a No-Upfront RI, AWS sets a default price of $1.01 which sellers usually amend to $0 by following the instructions found here.
If a charge like this appears on your invoice, it indicates that the system purchased an RI where the default price value was left unchanged by the seller.
