Configure default Zesty Disk parameters

  • PDF

Article summary

This topic describes how to configure the parameters of Zesty Disk filesystems on an instance.

To configure Zesty Disk parameters on an instance, you create a Zesty Disk policy and set to which instances to apply the policy. When you create the policy, the configuration will be applied to instances that match all the tags you enter.

You can configure the following parameters:

  • Minimum size: The smallest size to which a Zesty Disk can shrink, in GB.

  • Maximum size: The largest size to which Zesty Disk can expand, in GB

  • Minimum buffer size: The amount of capacity to remain unused in addition to your current usage, in GB or as a percentage of the provisioned size.
Zesty Disk won't shrink to less than your current usage + the greater of (your minimum buffer or the system defined buffer.)

  • IOPS: The IOPS configuration that Zesty Disk will enforce on attached volumes.

  • Throughput: The throughput configuration that Zesty Disk will enforce on attached volumes.

You can also configure IOPS and throughput for specific filesystems. For more information, see Modify Zesty Disk volume parameters.
